effie.ai Joins CMA|SIMA to Advance AI Adoption in Retail Execution
We are excited to announce that effie.ai has joined the Category Management Association (CMA) and Shopper Insights Management Association (SIMA).
For more than 20 years, CMA|SIMA has brought together category management, shopper insights, retail, and consumer goods leaders to advance industry best practices and innovation.
At effie.ai, we believe the biggest challenge in Retail Execution is no longer data collection.
The industry has invested heavily in reporting, analytics, dashboards, image recognition, and shopper insights. Yet most execution decisions are still made after the visit is complete. Store issues are identified too late, actions are delayed, and selling opportunities are lost.
We believe AI Agents can fundamentally change this model.
Instead of simply reporting problems, AI Agents can identify issues, prioritize actions, guide the representative, verify execution, and recommend next-best actions during the visit itself.
Combined with AI Image Recognition, AI Agents can perform most of the analytical and decision-support work traditionally done before and after the visit, allowing field teams to focus on physical execution and customer interaction.
This creates what we call Instant Closed Loop Retail Execution.
Shelf gaps, out-of-stocks, pricing issues, display compliance, and other execution problems can be detected and corrected while the representative is still in the store. The time between insight, decision, and action is reduced from days to minutes.
We believe this shift from delayed insights to real-time execution will define the next generation of Retail Execution technology.
As part of our partnership with CMA|SIMA, we look forward to:
- Sharing practical AI use cases and deployment experiences from leading global CPG organizations
- Contributing to industry discussions on Category Management, Retail Execution, and Commercial Excellence
- Participating in educational events, webinars, conferences, and industry initiatives
- Exploring how Agentic Retail Execution can support category growth and better shopper outcomes
We are excited to collaborate with the CMA|SIMA community, exchange ideas with industry leaders, and contribute to the adoption of AI across Retail Execution.
Together, we can help accelerate the transition from delayed insights and reactive execution to real-time decision-making and action at the shelf.
